Winter Anglers Can Harvest 1 Walleye From Lake Mille Lacs

(Onamia, MN) — Anglers will be able to take one walleye from Lake Mille Lacs during the ice fishing season beginning on December 1st. The Minnesota D-N-R says the fall assessment shows that the walleye population is abundant enough to sustain some harvest this winter. Anglers can keep one fish between 21 and 23 inches or one walleye longer than 28 inches from Mille Lacs. The 2022 assessment found higher walleye numbers than in 2021, similar numbers to the 2017-2020 assessments.
