Winona, Fillmore County Property Owners Asked to Report Old Wells, Sinkholes

(Winona, MN) — Authorities in southeastern Minnesota have a new request for property owners in Winona and Fillmore counties as they continue to search for 26-year-old Madeline Kingsbury. Investigators are asking residents with wells from before 1925, old homestead and old windmills, or sinkholes on their property to report them to police. They say information about these things could lead to new information in the search. Maddi’s family and law enforcement are also requesting that property owners place a blue checkmark in a visible location to show you’ll allow a search of your land. Volunteers will place a blue ribbon on the mailbox to indicate the property has been checked. Kingsbury has been missing since March 31st.
