Tigers fall to Northfield, AC/GE drop DH, and USC stays undefeated in Softball

Leading the offense for Albert Lea, Lauren Fredrickson 2 for 2 at plate 1 double 1 triple, Nevaeh Wachols 2-3 at plate 2 doubles 2 rbi’s,

Tigers drop to 0-3

 

Game 1

Mabel Canton 19, Alden Conger/GE  13

Mallory Ignazewski went 2 for 4 with three runs scored

Sam Armstrong went 2 for 2 with 2 RBI’s

 

Game 2

Mabel Canton 15, Alden Conger/GE 14

Knights were up 7-5 after 5, Mabel Canton would score 9 in the 6th to go up 14-7, AC/GE would answer with 6 in the bottom of the inning, and trailed 14-13, each team would add a run in the 7th

Mallory Ignazewski went 3-4 with a home run

Sam Armstrong 3 for 5 with 3 RBI’s

Libby Bell 3 for 4 with 2 RBi’s 

Knights are now 0-2 in conference, 0-3 overall

 

USC 6, Madelia 5 in 9 innings 

Rebels were up 5-2 after 3, Madelia would trail 5-3 heading into the 7th but scored two runs to tie things up. USC will get the walk off winner in the 9th, a Double by Sam Swanson with one out drove in the winning run

Mariah Anderson pitched all 9 innings, allowing 1 earned run, 2 hits, struck out 18 and walked 6 to get the win

Anderson, Kendall Harpastad, and Hannah Meyer each had 2 hits, and the Rebels had 13 hits for the game

USC now 3-0
