Stork throws Perfect game, NRHEG walk off winner against USC in Softball (Audio)

It was a pitchers dual in New Richland in Gopher Conference Softball on Monday, as Panther Senior Sophie Stork threw a perfect game, and struck out 13, as NRHEG picked up a walk off winner in a 1-0 victory over USC

Stork retired all 21 batters she faced. 8th grader Mariah Anderson for USC gave up just 1 run, 0 earned, 2hits, struck out 6 and walked 3

NRHEG stranded a runner in scoring position in the 1st, 4th, and 6th. In the bottom of the 7th, Stork reached on an error, was moved to 2nd on a sac bunt. Bree Ihrke would reach on a walk, and a ground out moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd.  With 2 outs, Preslie Nielsen hit a grounder to the shortshop, whose throw was low and got by the first baseman.  Stork would score the walk off winner on the error in a 1-0 NRHEG win.  NRHEG now 12-4, USC drops to 10-4
