(Portage Township, MN) — A hunter is expected to be okay after being rescued from a swampy area near Crane Lake in northeastern Minnesota. The man called 9-1-1 Saturday evening to report that he became stuck in waist deep water and couldn’t free himself. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department says first responders located the hunter using an amphibious, eight-wheeled A-T-V. Deputies say the man attempted to walk across a partially frozen swamp and was taken to the hospital for signs of hypothermia.
