Rochester Felon Pleads Guilty to Possessing a Firearm

(Minneapolis, MN) — A Rochester man could face up to ten years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm as a felon.   Prosecutors say 49-year-old Marcus A. Jackson had a nine-millimeter pistol in his kitchen when police searched his apartment in May.   Officers say Jackson initially said there were no firearms but later pointed them to the gun above his refrigerator.  Jackson is prohibited from having a firearm or ammunition due to felony convictions in Olmsted, Ramsey and Hennepin counties.
