ALHS Sophomore Michael Olson was crowned a state champion at 106 pounds. He defeated the number 3 rated wrestler from New Prague, Lawson Eller in the finals via major decision 13-3. Michael finished the season with a record of 51-3 and now has a career record of 66-5. Michael is the 29th Albert Lea wrestler to earn a state title in school history.

Cameron Davis was a state runner up at 138 pounds. He lost to the number 5 rated wrestler in the nation, Koy Buesgens (who was also from New Prague) in the finals. Cameron finished the year with a 43-7 record and 173 career wins putting him 3rd all time in school history. Cameron is a senior and will be wrestling for the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse next year.

Logan Davis (9th grade) placed 4th at 113 pounds and finished the season with a record of 43-7.

Nick Korman (9th grade – Alden) placed 6th at 126 pounds and finished the season with a 38-17 record.
