Officer Shot In White Bear Lake

(White Bear Lake, MN) — Authorities are investigating a shooting in White Bear Lake that left a police officer wounded. The White Bear Lake Police Department says officers were trying to make an arrest around 10 p-m Tuesday when shots were fired. One officer was struck by gunfire and underwent surgery at the hospital overnight. The officer is reportedly in stable condition this morning (Wednesday). Investigators say a suspect is in custody and there’s no threat to the community. No word on whether the suspect was injured in the shooting. The names of the wounded officer and suspect haven’t been released.
