Minnesota Twins Open Regular Season at Kansas City Royals

(Kansas City, MO) — The Minnesota Twins open the 2023 regular season this afternoon (Thursday 3 p-m) at the Kansas City Royals. The Twins look to rebound from a 78-and-84 record last year and a third place finish in the American League Central division. Pablo Lopez is the Opening Day starter for Minnesota against Royals veteran Zach Greinke. Lopez came to the Twins in an offseason trade with the Marlins involving American League batting champion Luis Arraez (uh-RISE’). Minnesota’s home opener is one week from today versus the Houston Astros.
