Minnesota Tornado Sirens Will Sound Today

(St. Paul, MN) — Severe Weather Awareness Week continues. Kevin Reed deputy director of Minnesota Homeland Security Emergency Management says today’s focus is on tornadoes and there will be two statewide practice drills, the first this afternoon at 1:45 and the second this evening at 6:45. Outdoor warning sirens will sound during these two practice drills. Reed says again this is just a drill. It’s not related to anything else that is going on. He encourages you and your family to take a pause and think about what you would do in a weather event.
