Mall of America Shooting Suspect Arrested in Georgia

(Bloomington, MN) — One of the alleged gunmen in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Johntae Hudson at the Mall of America is under arrest in the state of Georgia. Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges says 17-year-old Lavon Longstreet was taken into custody on a warrant Tuesday in Decatur. Hodges says Longstreet and TaeShawn Adams-Wright stood over Hudson and fired multiple rounds into his body on December 23rd. They’re both charged with second-degree murder and second-degree assault. Hodges says Longstreet’s mother, Erica McMillian, was arrested in Golden Valley yesterday for driving him to Georgia the day after the shooting.
