We knew the Central Springs match was going to be a tough match.  They got out early in set 1 and took a 5-1 lead before extending it to an 8-2 margin.  We were just making too many offensive errors and could not get any rhythm going.  We battled back to a 9-10 score but again lost some momentum.  Central Springs lead 13-9 before we started to string some things together.  Our first lead was at 18-17 and we lead 20-17 before securing the set 1 win.
In set 2 we again were down early, 2-4.  We got our first lead 10-9 and never surrendered the lead again.
We have to be able to adjust better as a match progresses.  We need to work on communicating more as a team.  But I knew we were going to be in for a solid match with them at their home tournament.
The rest of the day we were able to control the tempo and keep teams from putting too many runs together.  We know we were coming in as the favorite but you have to earn your victories and play the game. We got some new faces in from time to time as we continue to look for more consistent play from everyone.
After 3 weeks it is good to be sitting 13-1 overall and we have still only dropped 2 sets on the season to the 4th ranked team in 3A.   This week we see TIC rival, GHV, before traveling to the always tough Forest City tournament.  We will see a bunch of 3A teams again and will be tested each round.
