“Click it or Ticket” Campaign Kicks Off Today in Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota law enforcement will be looking for drivers not wearing their seat belts today through June 4th. State public officials say the “Click it or Ticket” campaign is aimed at saving lives on our roads. Eighty-seven people died in the state last year after not wearing a seat belt in a crash and 76 percent of the unbelted fatalities were in Greater Minnesota. Mike Hanson with the state Office of Traffic Safety says buckling up only takes two seconds and it is your first and last line of defense.
