Both Albert Lea Hockey teams pick up wins against Winona Thursday

Boy’s Hockey

16th ranked Albert Lea 5  Winona 1

Joseph Yoon would score in the 2nd period to put Albert Lea up 1-0; then in the 3rd, Yoon with another goal his 14th of the season, to put the Tigers up 2-0, Winona would cut it to a 2-1 deficit, but Albert Lea with 3  straight goals, Jack Ladlie, Logan Olson and Conner Pirsig all finding the back of the net in a 5-1 win

Tigers now 2-2 in the Big Nine 9-3 overall, winners of 7 in a row.  Albert Lea will travel to Mankato West on Thursday

Girls Hockey

18th ranked Albert Lea 7,  Winona 0

Tigers outshot Winona 62-8.  Shelby Evans with the Hat Trick.  Aryah Hansen, Lily Steven, Mika Cichosz and Olivia Ellsworth also scoring goals. Tigers are now 5-2 in the Big Nine 8-6 overall and will host Luverne on Tuesday.
