Albert Lea Girl’s Hockey rallies from 2-0 deficit to come back and win opener in Overtime

The Albert Lea Girl’s Hockey team opened the season Thursday night at Graham Arena in Rochester, and rallied from a 2-0 deficit in the 3rd period to come back and beat Mayo 3 to 2 in overtime.
Mayo led 2-0 early in the 3rd period, when Sophomore Olivia Ellsworth scored to cut the lead in half. Late in the period, Sophomore Shelby Evans would tie things up at 2-2, and then in Overtime, 8th grader Morgan Goskeson could score the game winner to complete the comeback. All 3 goals were unassisted.
Tigers are 1-0 on the season, and will head to Red Wing on Thursday November 17th, Game can be heard on KATE Radio
