Albert Lea Boys Golf tied for First in the Big Nine Conference with wins on Friday

Albert Lea Boys Golf hosted the Fairbault Falcons and the Winona Winhawks at Wedgewood Cove on Friday. Albert Lea needed to be both teams in order to remain in a three-way tie for first place in the Big 9 with the Spartans from Rochester and Raiders from Northfield. 

The Tigers finished with a season best 301. Right behind them was Faribault with a 306 and Winona rounded it out with a 376. 

Leading the way for the Tigers with Senior Tucker McKinney who shot a 71 (-1) followed by freshman Archie Nelson with an even par 72. The other two players contributing to the Tigers score were eighth grader Noah Teeter who put up a 78 and Junior Drew Teeter finishing with an 80.  Albert Lea, Northfield and Rochester Mayo all tied with 18-2 records
