17-Year-Old Arrested in Shooting Death of St. Paul Hockey Coach

(St. Paul, MN) — Police in St. Paul say a 17-year-old boy is under arrest for the alleged shooting death of a father and hockey coach in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood. Forty-four-year-old Michael Brasel was reportedly confronting someone trying to break into his wife’s car when he was shot Saturday morning. He died of his injuries in the hospital. A GoFundMe Page for his family had raised 200 thousand dollars as of late Wednesday. There’s a visitation for the Brasel later today (Thursday 4 to 8pm) in St. Paul and a celebration of life for friends and family.
