16+ years in prison for Rochester man for dealing large amounts of heroin, meth

(St. Paul, MN) — A Rochester man will spend 16-and-a-half years in federal prison for dealing large amounts of heroin and methamphetamine in southeastern Minnesota. Prosecutors say authorities searched the home of 41-year-old Erick Fontain Thomas in August 2020 and found one-point-four kilograms of meth, four grams of heroin, four loaded handguns and a loaded AR-15 style rifle. Officers say a FedEx package sent to Thomas from California contained more than 68 thousand dollars in cash drug proceeds. He pleaded guilty last summer to possession with intent to distribute heroin and meth.
